I wanted to let you know immediately of a fax from Ed's bank stating
a BACS transfer to Galerie
International for the sum of £13,850 (which after hard negotiation the other
night was agreed between us...I gave him a £1,000 discount!)

Therefore I'd be most grateful if you could remove my car from your website
today and inform any potential buyers of the situation. I understand that a
lady called Sally who called me in Spain was very keen to see it and
I'm sorry that she could not have it but I don't have another one!

I'll happily recommend your website to any of my clients who own Mercedes,
and would like to thank you personally for your help and superior service
(the old fashioned bespoke approach really does work).

If you know of any of your clients who want a 'bespoke' villa built for them in Spain or France by Galerie International then I'd be happy to pay you an introduction fee.

My only sadness is seeing the car go for so little money, however I'm pleased that it has gone to a genuine enthusiast like Ed.

Please thank your client Mr. Mehmet for his storage of my car and I'll send him a bottle of champagne to thank him for his troubles.

I'm sorry to see it go, as over the past two years or so I've enjoyed driving the car. But given that I already have two other collectible cars (one French, one American...) this SEC had to go, and pragmatism has had to prevail over sentiment - for the moment. Who knows, I may find that MB ownership (or maybe it is particularly the S class) has got me hooked. I might yet be in touch with you again in due course - as a potential buyer! But first, the new kitchen and bathroom have to be paid for (and my wife has started muttering about re-doing the garden too...). Life is full of hard choices.

Considering my tight budget and the fact that my Peugeot diesel had just failed to start yet again, I was fairly impressed by Richard's attention to detail in swiftly finding me a suitable replacement, and although it was not a diesel 190, he found an economical J reg 190e 1.8 manual as a stepping stone within 16 hours of my initial enquiry...I only lost one day of work in the end and have to take my hat off to him for providing a caring and excellent service which, after viewing a similar car locally being sold by a dodgy trader, was somewhat refreshing...I would not hesitate to recommend his skilled service to any first time or experienced Mercedes buyer.....very chuffed indeed...the matching process must be seen to be believed.

Within 2 weeks of my initial enquiry Richard had located the car that I wanted and had negotiated a really reasonable price with its owner. The car was a grey 420 SE on a D reg and I paid £1,000 for it which was a bargain. However it cost me an additional £500 to get it through a new MOT, but it was worth it in the end and one year on it has not let me down. Richard was helpful and his advice was excellent.
