I've had a quick peek at your web site and I must say it's brilliant!

As I said the other night, I drive a bog standard, auto C180 Classic on a 97 P. I do love it though. When I want to get rid I'm sure there'll be a nice old lady who needs a run-around.
All I need to do really is decide what I want next. I have been toying with the idea of an old 911 from Portiacraft. Then again, an old SL, or 280 SE. I dunno!

Thanks for the reply. However, for better or for worse, I have put a deposit down on the manual 280TE that I viewed on Saturday. I allowed colour and one owner provenance to overcome karma so we will have to see how it works out! Thank you very much for your time and help, your words of

After our exhausting conversation yesterday I am writing to confirm that on Friday 28th February 2003 I'll be available to show my S class, H329 BCX to Mr. Bannister and as agreed will expect you to be in attendance. Can you let me know an exact time please?

I have now been contacted by Andrew Mann, the MB mechanic, who will inspect my car prior to your arrival with Mr. Bannister.

Just one extra point to let you know about is that I have taxed & MOT'd the car for another year as well, as a gesture of sincerity to any potential buyer. By the way it sailed through its MOT. there are a few minor blemishes that I have not had the time to take car of, but have been on my do list. I still await a copy of the Stuttgart Garage invoice from last year, the original I have mislaid.

I am fairly reluctant to sell my car without finding a suitable replacement, so I will opt for your top fee, the 'VIP' at £650 plus VAT and urge you to find me the specific car that I originally requested; an SEC or CE with heated electric seats, air conditioning and leather. It must have low mileage and be clear of any faults too.

At the moment I am adding the finishing touches to my feature film "Don't Look Back" starring Stephen Marcus (Nick The Greek in Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels) & Oliver Tobias (The Stud), as well as a wonderful cast of British actors.

Your website is now on my Favourites list and although I am busy with my film I do look at it regularly. As far as I am aware there is no other dedicated MB website yet to compete with yours.

The best aspect of your site however is your guarantee of client confidentiality and your rejection of larger companies to buy your database of MB owners. I commend you on this. It is obvious that your enthusiasm and knowledge for the 3 pointed star is amongst the
best that I have come across.

Thank you for sending me the Tarantino link which adds an element of uniqueness to your already bespoke site. I have yet to meet him, though I've worked on many other USA & UK feature films in the past few years.

Your policy of, as you put it, "a strictly muppet free database" is completely reassuring to me as I would not advertise my Mercedes elsewhere as I'd have no control over who gets my home address and telephone number. I have no time at all for timewasters and am rather conscious about my security.

I will officially invite any Mercedes Owners (they must bring their cars) to the Drive-In premiere of my movie this summer in Farnham; a date and exact location to be advised nearer the time.

Coming from many happy years of Porsche ownership I fancied a change and needed a practical estate, I wanted a Mercedes but knew nothing about them. Dealers wanted to know how much I could spend, but like many enthusiasts that is the wrong way to start looking!
