Crackin '123...Well, after a long hard search, Richard the Mercseller finally located a mint condition shiny metallic petrol blue manual 230e with under 90,000 miles on the clock for my girlfriend and I.

The man is amazing! He was constantly available on the phone with counselling, helpful hints and was even prepared to recommend Andy Mann for an inspection of a car that was not on the mercseller site. A true enthusiast who genuinely wants to share his passion for these lovely old motors. Inspirational.

As Richard was on site when we finally bought the car, we felt confident with our purchase and with the pricing. He'd already haggled the price down to the seller's minimum before we got there! His advice and concern after we bought the car has been nothing short of astonishing.

Freezing in Moscow...missing England and Mercseller!! Richard, Greetings from ice cold Russia where I'm staying with Sasha and her parents.

There are literally hundreds of Mercs here, mainly modern ones I'm afraid to say. Looking to buy a 108 or 114/115 if I can find one. So far no luck! Keeping my hawk eyes open! Am only interested in proper period retro classics...vertical headlights are a must!

Hope that you are feeling better and not straining yourself too much.

Glad to see you are still using some of my famous expressions like "The Cool Factor" and "Fussy Perfectionists".

Any enquiries on my Gunmetal w108 yet? I think it is undervalued at £9,500 and will consider a price increase in Apiril if it remains unsold. I also have a superb Metallic Blue 1970, V8, 3.5 sedan with Blue Leather (stacked lights, front armrests, Blaupunkt 8 track etc..) at Bill's too with low mileage that I'm also considering selling...just ask Roger or Bill for more information. Have not yet decided on a price, but will let you know inthe future.

Down at Bill Schrader's, just before I went away, I bumped by accident into one of your old customers driving a w126, and he enthused about your fantastic site, but did kindly say that you were a Mercedes anorak!

Are people entitled to their opinions...you bet!

BESPOKE MERCEDES SEAT TRIM SPECIALIST...VERY REASONABLY PRICED...Hi Richard, When I went to purchase a replacement leather seat cover for my E300 w124 that had worn on the drivers bolster , got chest pain when I was quoted nearly 500 pounds by MB UK!!! Found Mr John Cartlidge ( Phone 01270 761036 or email: john@cartlidgetrimming.fsnet.co.uk ) vehicle trimmer in SANDBACH, Cheshire just off Junction 17 of the M6 motorway. He kindly fixed my seat with a new bit of leather ( the driver's side bolster where they always commonly wear )....now looks like NEW at a very reasonable price whilst I wandered around the pleasant town of SANDBACH for several hours. Well worth the drive up the M6 tollway. Highly recommended....good job, great price and a nice guy.....what more could one ask for?

I hope that some of your serious clients use this guy as his attitude towards me was faultless.
