Luke Garcia, March 2005Yet again Richard has proved himself as a master. After the sale of my 230E W123 I wanted something else. So now a week later I have phoned Richard this morning and have just driven home in my new 300SE.
I cant believe that service like this still happens. If anyone reading this is wanting to buy a Mercedes DONT GO TO A DEALERSHIP, SPEAK TO RICHARD AT MERCSELLER.COM. ( It would be silly not to.)
Once again thankyou for all your help.
Kind Regards
Luke

Ian "Reasonably Well Connected" Stratton, March 2005Britain's Most Well Connected...Richard, Thanks for putting John Mortimer in touch yesterday on my old 123. I am meeting him on Saturday 19th in Winchester. Sounds like a nice gent, and I've offered him a six month road tax discount off my asking price as a gesture of goodwill.
For many months now I've been wondering just who are the most well connected people in the UK. I'm sure you know some of them, but are you one of them, Richard?
Surely you have a massive database of clients who deserve to be connected to one and other and whose common factor is you!!
Other Mercaholics that I have spoken with reckon you're Britain's "Mr. Merc" and if this is true then what does that make me?
Worth thinking about. You've inadvertently publicised my name to Mercedes lovers across the globe!
Quite simply I'm an insomniac with thousands of ideas for business and constantly feel the need to write & draw at ridiculous hours of the day when most are in their beds! Ever so slightly eccentric in many ways!
Good to see that my sayings are still in use throughout your website, in adverts and one guy rang me two weeks ago to tell me that he was definitely not a "Fussy Perfectionist on a Tight Budget!". In other words a pain in the neck!
I'm still eager to meet in person, John Myatt who co-wrote one of my favourite songs in 1979 with Janet Kay called "Silly Games". You have him in your Useful Contacts section as "The Best British Artist". You should read his history which is quite interesting! What Merc did he buy/sell on your site then?
I've responded to his comments on this page on 2003-12-10 02:42:10 which were very positive and I would be most grateful if you could connect me to him.
Anyway, do send my fondest to Mark W and Nick East too. I'll go to his Soho Lounge next time I'm up in Dean Street.
Take it easy mate and don't work too hard.
Watch out for the 'Black Ice'.
Regards
Ian
P.S. Did you get any response from decision makers at Mercedes Enthusiast yet regarding an interview or feature on your clients/cars? Long overdue, not that you need any publicity! They cannot wilfully ignore you forever, can they!
Need more Orange Cards pleeeeaaaasssssseee!!!!!!!

Phillip Gates, March 2005On recently purchasing my monster w107 (all 4522cc of her!)...I had been hankering after a new car for a while, had quite specific needs, a tight timescale and an extremely limited budget. I stumbled across mercseller.com on the net, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Richard was fantastic. I gave him the lowdown and he immediately got to working furiously on my behalf to find a car. I had given him the lead-in by saying I was a brand new classic Mercedes purchaser and suggested I wanted a meaty V8, possibly a 450SLC (sod the environment, just listen to that engine!)
He was so cool about advising me on all the pitfalls of owning this model. He was never pushy, but always totally realistic and informative. After my emotional and romantic attachment to such an awesome vehicle (in my eyes) had been suitably crushed (in the nicest way possible!), I decided to go for it anyway.
I looked at one that he had yet to put on the website; uber cool, sleek, super sexy, metallic milan brown, and with untouchable credibility in the cream velour. What a result!
She did need work, but with the help of (to steal another's words) 'national treasure' Billericay Bill, I felt great about the prospect of finally getting what I wanted.
All in all a fantastic buying experience, even after a minor hiccup (and Richard's support through this was also unfaltering). We punctuated the whole experience, most suitably by feasting, on Richard's recommendation, at 'The Giraffe' in Muswell Hill!
Go to Richard. Stay with him. Don't go anywhere else. Thanks again mate.

Dear Mr. Stratton
Apologies for not having posted sooner, but I have been rather busy showing off my new beast on the highways and byways of this fair isle.
Cool factor in bucketloads. Heads turn wherever I motor, and I love getting the nonchalant waves from other classic MB owners as I drive - just priceless in the feel-good department!
I hear you have a soft spot for most things with an MB logo plastered on the front!
Cheers
Phillip

Matt Conner, February 2005Richard's advice on the sale of my 123 coupe matched expertise of the market with endless enthusiasm. Using the mercseller service allowed me to be connected to genuine buyers who are prepared to pay the true value for the best cars so I didn't have to waste my time with tyre kickers and chancers. Thanks Richard and congratulations Declan for buying an excellent Mercedes Coupe.

John Palmer, February 2005Dear Richard
I feel I must write to you to thank you for providing a first class service, when selling my much loved Mercedes 300 SE, you obviously went to a great deal of trouble to match the vehicle with someone who would care for it in the same way as we have done.
It is always nice to know that your car 'is going to a good home'.
In this day and age it is rare to get a personalised treatment delivered in a friendly and professional way, along with the benefit of knowing the Marque so well.
In conclusion I can honestly say I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone considering buying or selling a Mercedes-Benz.
Well done
Yours faithfully

Colin Lloyd, February 2005A happy, new w126 owner...560 SEL...Richard, Initial impressions of the W126 560SEL are that after driving a car badged as a Merc, namely my C32AMG, I now have a car which actually is a Merc. Straightforward, well engineered ( e.g. 4 speed auto on a 15yr old car), and bolted and screwed together (as in none of those cheap pop together fittings - which after a while don't). I even managed 19 mpg on a run and not in economy setting either.
Of course I may see things slightly differently when I get my first bill - but even then at 120k miles and 15yrs the poor thing will deserve some new parts. And it will have to go wonky around once every 12 weeks to top a modern Mercs (un)reliability record. And imagine, even if it does go wrong I won't have to endure the Mercedes Customer Care centre - who never ever returned a single one of my many calls to them over a period of over 12 months!
Well you did ask - although admittedly I've rather concentrated on the previous car!
Regards
Colin
