David Glazer, May 2005Excellent service from Richard at Mercseller. A truly bespoke , fast and efficient service. From Richard viewing and valuing my car to posting it on the website to him actually picking the potential buyers from abroad from the airport and bringing them to my car. These people were obviously serious as they bought the car there and then! I cannot recommend Mercseller.com enough. No mucking about and a quick deal...the perfect way to sell your car !
Alex Ingham, May 2005Hello All,
I would like to add my personal experience after recently buying my very first Mercedes courtesy of Richard. I originally contacted Richard two years ago more out of curiosity than with any intention of buying a Merc off his website. Although it had always been a dream of mine to own a classic Merc, I was some way off realising that dream. My savings/bank accounts were running on empty. My mechanical knowledge of Mercs was also extremely limited to say the least. I knew they were reliable but I was attracted more to their beauty and their history. On speaking with Richard I was immediately struck by his enthusiasm, knowledge, honesty and down to earth attitude. His advice, which I followed to the letter, was to test drive a few models advertised on his website and familiar myself with a Merc that I liked. After doing so, there were no doubts in my mind. I was hooked on a 115 sedan. Over the next couple of years, I saved money, browsed the website, watched in frustration as 115s came and went and kept in contact with Richard. Last month I called Richard. I was ready, armed with a envelope crammed full of 50s. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. He told me he had the car of my dreams. I couldn't believe it. Ian Stratton was ready to part with his 220 ivory white sedan. 24 hours later, Richard drove up to Alexandra Palace with an absolute beauty. There were no doubts. It had my name all over it. I cannot speak highly enough of Richard. His dedication to this client in particular was simply first class. He was just as excited as I was that I was buying the car. All aspects of the ensuing transaction were seamless and breakfast at the Grove a really nice touch. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He's a top bloke and I'm sure previous clients and regular viewers of his website can only concur. So there you have it. Thanks to Richard, thanks to Ian Stratton, thanks to Robert Schmitt and Tony for getting rid of a few gremlins. I have a piece of motoring history which I will treasure for many years to come. You beauty!

Jason Blank, April 2005Richard,
I love the car. I have not had a chance to drive it much, as I have been in Japan quite a bit. My wife is staying in the UK for a while, now, and she is driving it quite a lot. I am forcing her to buy her own car, so she does not use mine too much. Thanks very much for your incredible service. Please find my testimonial below:
"I feel lucky that I stumbled onto mercseller.com. After a poke around the site, I realized that the thing to do was call Richard. We spoke for an hour and agreed on a strategy; the one that I favored. In a weeks time he convinced me that a 560 SEC was more appropriate for me. He was able to help me into an incredible one that has barely been used. The transaction is that much more compelling, because we did it all, while I was in Tokyo. Including inspection and delivery (at the airport), I doubt I will ever get such great attention again"
Also, I plan on upgrading the stereo when I get back to London in a few weeks. Who is your top stereo man in London??
Sincerely,
Jason

Jon Bartlett, April 2005Hi Richard.
I have always found the prospect of buying and selling cars quite daunting. It was therefore a pleasure to be matched to my buyer, a charming fellow professional, and to conclude the sale of my car in such a relaxed and civilised manner. You are a true professional who put me at my ease and I would have no hesitation in seeking your help /advice in sourcing my next purchase.[I miss my merc like mad but hardly around to drive it currently] Thanks so much Richard....Best regards. Jon.

Justin Marozzi, April 2005I first came across Mercseller.com in Baghdad of all places, while surfing the web looking for a 1980s Mercedes Coupe, the sort of thing you do to cheer yourself up when the suicide bombers are doing their stuff and morale is low. After failing to find anything decent on either autotrader or ebay, I knew I was in the right place when I discovered Richard's website. I narrowed the search down, found the car that looked just right and booked a test-drive for my return to the UK. Behold! A gleaming Petrol Blue 280 CE - Richard would call it "a head-turner" - arrived in NW3 on a crisp spring day. The owner and I drove it up to The Grove where I met Richard for the first time. I'd already decided to buy the car almost as soon as I saw it. The colour alone was worth it. In a nutshell: I came, I saw, I bought.
Full marks to Richard for the quality of cars on his website. He even came round to our flat late one night to sell me some seals and a car cover. And recommended a very good man in Essex to do some basic bits and pieces to the car - in hand as I write.
In other words 10/10 for after-sales service. If and when I ever trade my Petrol Blue Dynamo in for a more august W111 - more years in Iraq needed for that - I'll be back to Richard and expect another impressive deal with excellent service. To say he is highly recommended would be an understatement. For anyone interested in buying a Mercedes with character, he is essential viewing.

Comment By Nic Roome...When the dreaded day finally dawned of having to sell my beloved Mercedes 280CE, I knew there was only one man for the job - Richard at mercseller.com
Having bought possibly one of the most refined and elegant cars in existence (with heated leather seats,I might add)only 2 years prior from Richard, my moving house meant that I could no longer garage it in the manner it deserved.
After contacting him, Richard swiflty responded by updating all of his records and details, and taking note of the car's past two years history since he had sold it to me. Armed with this information, and some spanking new photos, the advert was promptly posted onto his website.
The keen eyed Justin, (now the car's happy new owner) spotted this whilst working out in Baghdad, and arranged a test drive upon his return to the UK.
One sunny test-drive and a thouroughly enjoyable afternoon at The Grove later, a deal was struck between Justin and I.
Simple. Richard takes the pain out of matchmaking a car to it's prospective new owner.
A bit of a cupid for Mercs, I'd say!
Many thanks Richard, and I know where I'll be coming the next time I buy a Merc.
And a big 'hello' to Justin and Julia!

Luke Garcia, March 2005Sale of my 230E W123...I never new about the site until I was searching the net.
I am so glad I found it. What Richard doesn't know about Mercs is not worth knowing. I phoned him in the morning, met him at a very nice hotel for coffee and the next thing I know he has found my much loved 230E a new loving home, So by 5pm the same day the new owners were driving it home. Richard got me the price I wanted and it was all dealt with in the highest form of customer service. This man puts a main stream dealership to shame.
Thanks for all your help and I will be seeing you for a car shortly.
Kindest Regards
Luke Garcia
