I recently bought an '85 500SE through Mercseller from a private enthusiast, which I have to say is in excellent condition and bearing all the hallmarks of the proper love and care these cars deserve.
Richard clearly has his own passion for these giants and directed me to the one I have now after listening to my requirements and wishes: having approached Mercseller with perhaps the idea of only settling for a 560SEL, with Richard's help I decided that condition must of course be the number one factor, which led me to John Sadler's 500SE. The experience of dealing with John was entirely civilised and it soon became apparent to me that John was quite dedicated to the breed and believed in prevention rather than cure as a byword for continuing to enjoy his Mercedes. Having now got my 'low mileage' S Class, I look forward to steadily taking her into and through the 6-figure mileage mark.

Thank you for the photo. We had a baby boy, 7lb 14 oz who is very well and getting bigger very quickly.

We were very happy with the sale which was wonderfully stress free, particularly important given the timing of events with the impending new arrival! Having you facilitate the sale made us all more confident and relaxed and it's good to know that our much loved car has gone to a good home.

Infinitely better than going through a salesroom and none of the hassle or worry of doing a purely private sale.

We both thought that it would be a nice gesture to treat you to dinner at The Grove (listed as your latest hang out) considering the wonderful service that you provided to us in selling our beautiful coupe to Michael from Dublin.

Bill Schrader...He is a legend. I took him my 1978 450 SLC (at 33 my FIRST car!) and despite my absolute lack of all motoring knowledge he gave me a full appraisal, a quick tune, hours of advice and fixed my exhaust: all for £50. It's been said before - but he is more than a national treasure, he's a legend. Thank you Richard and Mercseller for pointing me in his direction. If you need some help, some work or just a damn good afternoon, go and see Bill.

The guy's a legend. The sump-guard he put on my rally Merc was such an object of beauty that I took a photo of it before I sold the car! I would buy another Merc just so I could use him to service it - he's that good!

Hurrah, the National Treasure is getting the praise and recognition he deserves! I only hope that he's got time to service my Benz in a few months after Richard has sent him so many happy and loyal new customers!

I have one question though - has anyone used the bodywork man who works in the same place as Bill yet? I keep forgetting his name, but I'd be interested in any info from people who have had work done by him.

Hi Richard! It's done! My 190e is still running like a dream - I did a huge tour round Germany recently and it sailed through its MOT last week! There might be a small rust issue on one of the doors soon, but apart from that it's been a brilliant car so far! I hope you're well, fully recovered now and doing good business spreading the Merc word!
