(my personal experience)
My original insurance company (who I had been with for 5 years) had quoted me £960 fully comp on my 420 SE without breakdown cover, limited to 1,500 miles per year (which I thought was ridiculously overpriced). I therefore decided to search for a more 'financially therapeutic' deal. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Through Peter Best - Phone: 01376 573033 or Fax: 01376 573199 (Recommended by the Mercedes-Benz Club) my premium was reduced to £280 fully comp with agreed value (You need to supply approx 4 to 6 colour photos of your car), 3,000 miles per year and FREE 24 hour breakdown/legal cover. Doubtless to say I went with them, finding their service both customer friendly and extremely efficient.
Finally, you can try: Footman James for your 3rd quote as many Mercseller clients old & new are moving to them and they have been highly recommended...call 0121 561 4196 for a quote.
